Best Air Fryer Deals 2026: Which One Is Worth Buying?

Air fryers range from $30 to $300. After testing 8 models, here's which ones are actually worth it — and where to get the lowest price on each.

The air fryer market is oversaturated with mediocre options

There are 200+ air fryers on Amazon. Most are indistinguishable white-label units from the same three Chinese factories, rebranded and repriced from $30 to $180. The actual meaningful differences come down to: capacity, heating element quality, basket design, and whether the brand has a track record of not catching fire.

The three worth buying

Ninja Air Fryer Max XL (5.5 Qt) — best overall value

MSRP $169, regularly drops to $89-109 on Amazon. This is the air fryer most food bloggers and cooking channels actually use, and it earned that position through two things: consistent heating (no hot spots) and a basket that's large enough for a family of four.

5.5 quarts sounds small on paper but it's enough for a full batch of fries, 4 chicken breasts, or a small chicken. The Max Crisp technology runs hotter than most competitors (450F vs 400F), which gives better browning.

Cosori Pro LE (5 Qt) — best under $80

The Cosori Pro LE sits at $79 MSRP and drops to $59-69 on sale. It's the best-selling air fryer on Amazon for a reason: it does 90% of what the Ninja does at 60% of the price. Slightly less even heating, slightly smaller capacity, but perfectly adequate for a household of 1-3 people.

The app connectivity is a genuine bonus — you can start preheating from your phone and get notifications when food is done.

Ninja Foodi Dual Zone (8 Qt) — best for families

If you need to cook two things at different temperatures simultaneously (fries + chicken, vegetables + fish), the dual-zone design is the answer. Two independent baskets, two independent temperature controls, and a sync-finish feature that times both zones to finish at the same moment.

MSRP $199, drops to $149-169 on sale. Worth the premium over the single-basket Ninja if you're cooking for 4+ people regularly.

Air fryers to avoid

  • Under-$30 Amazon brands you've never heard of: many have temperature control issues and some have been recalled for fire risk. The $20 saving isn't worth the safety gamble.
  • Air fryer ovens over $250: at that price, you're paying for a countertop convection oven with "air fryer" marketing. The Breville Smart Oven Air ($299) is excellent, but it's an oven — not an air fryer in the traditional sense.
  • Air fryer lids for Instant Pots: they work, barely. The experience is meaningfully worse than a dedicated air fryer. Don't bother.

When to buy

Air fryers follow the kitchen-appliance discount calendar:

  • Amazon Prime Day (July): 30-50% off major brands
  • Black Friday: deepest discounts, Ninja and Cosori both hit annual lows
  • Amazon Spring Sale (March): 20-30% off
  • After Christmas (January): retailers clear holiday gift returns
